About the Role

Are you a registered nurse or psychiatric nurse? We are looking for you who have experience working with harmful substance use and addiction and want to help develop the Addiction Team in Västernorrland!

Regional Psychiatry and Habilitation coordinates regional healthcare for adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as habilitation services in Region Västernorrland. The regional healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals – Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik – as well as at several clinics located in various towns across the county. The area employs approximately 700 staff members.

The Addiction Team is a county-wide team linked to inpatient psychiatric care at Ward 7 in Sundsvall. The team acts as a link between inpatient psychiatric care, intermediate care, and outpatient care, as well as primary care, municipalities, and healthcare services. We assist all stakeholders with consultative support and serve as a knowledge center.

The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient stays and forms a crucial link in the care chain for the individual. The Addiction Team provides guidance and support to the county's municipalities, primary care, and other healthcare partners, and conducts clinical interventions of an outpatient nature. The team, currently consisting of two coordinators, a nurse, a social worker, and a doctor, will be strengthened with more employees. The aim is, among other things, to provide treatment interventions for direct work with patients suffering from harmful substance use and addiction, as well as concurrent psychiatric issues. This is part of the transition work aligned with the comorbidity reform.

We are now looking for a new psychiatric/registered nurse for the Addiction Team at Ward 7. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date to be agreed upon. Working hours are during daytime, Monday–Friday. Travel within the county may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a registered nurse
• Has at least 2 years of experience working with harmful substance use and addiction
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has a valid B-driver's license

It is an advantage if you:

• Are a registered psychiatric nurse
